This Week’s Shot of MINDSET
A few fun facts about working with the subconscious mind that I highlight in my Intro to PSYCH-K® workshops:
This week I want focus in on a few key things. The subconscious mind has ONE MILLION TIMES the processing power of the conscious mind. For every conscious thought you have, the subconscious just had a million… and they are all mainly based on the programming you had from birth to age 7.
I love the science of the mind (I can’t help it, my nerdy chemical engineering brain ) and the subconscious programming is based on little kids being in Theta brainwave state from Birth 7. It’s why we call little kids sponges. Theta is a relaxed, intuitive, hypnotic state where we are more susceptible to programming. We all pick up the programming from whatever is happening to us at that young age, usually parents, family, friends, school, church, etc.
The other key thing here is the sentence at the bottom: When you are in STRESS, you shut off the conscious mind and work from the subconscious programs. Very interesting!
In a PSYCH-K® session, you are able to quickly and easily access the subconscious, rewrite the programs, and create new beliefs to help you achieve whatever you want to achieve in your life now.
I could go on and on about PSYCH-K®, it is such fascinating and powerful work. This Week’s Shot of HEALTH
One of my most dear and favorite mentors in the health coaching space is Julie Marie Christensen who runs a program called Protective Diet, which I joined over a decade ago and it has served me well to stay slim, healthy, and reverse the aging process as I have moved through my 40s and into my 50s now. This woman CURED HERSELF OF BRAIN CANCER WITH DIET so I listen very carefully to everything she offers.
She and her husband Jerry are also two of the most kind and generous people I know. They have recently released more free recipes that use their plant based broth mix which you can find by CLICKING HERE.
I am sharing the broth recipe idea because Julie has this little thing she calls the Beauty Broth Hot Pot, pictured here. It is a great recipe for Fall and Winter if you are looking to lose a few pounds and can’t face the idea of cold salads. This is me. I tend to get cold all the time as I work a desk job. This recipe allows me to get in lots of fresh organic veggies without dealing with raw, cold salads (which I do enjoy plenty of in the summertime, usually bulked up with protein & starch… A BIG Salad for us Seinfeld fans )
The science shows starting meals with broth based soups like this one reduces overall calorie intake and helps you lose a few pounds just by adding something in, not taking away. Give it a try and let me know what you think. We will be hot potting it up a lot in our household (that sounded strange… not that kind of hot potting!)
