Oooooh, I just LOVE the energy of a fresh NEW YEAR! New Year’s Eve has always been my favorite holiday 🥂 for a few reasons.

1. I used to party like a rock star 😎🎸 and loved the opportunity for one last party night before vacation was over and heading back to work. One of my best NYE celebrations of all time was being in Times Square in New York City for New Year’s Eve 1999. Y2K fears be damned! My friend Becky and I were celebrating in the streets (and kissing a few of New York’s finest while we were at it 💋👮)

I was 27 then. My rock star days are over. I now prefer to party with beautiful healthy food and sparkling NA beverages. My liver thanks me profusely! I still love one last gathering with family & friends to end each year.

2. I love the whole concept of New Year’s Resolutions. A clean slate. A fresh new calendar 📆. 12 whole months stretching out ahead to do things differently or reinforce the best of the previous year. I have always loved writing down goals, resolutions, intentions for the New Year. Mapping out plans to achieve my dreams in all areas of my life.

I admit, many years the focus was on weight loss, but not always. I have had resolutions about family, career, relationships, income, all sorts of things that I want to work on. I enjoy looking back on what I wrote in January and seeing just how many things I actually achieve. ✅
