I recently had an appointment with my awesome psychic medium here in Charlotte. I see Katelyn, she and Ed can be found HERE. I am just sharing the link these days as a lot of people want to know who she is once I mention it.
Seeing my favorite psychic and doing a bit more on the self-care front over the last few weeks has helped me realize that even someone who works in the fields of health, mindset, and healing… needs help from experts herself. I will share more on the topic of asking for and receiving help next week.
This week, I share more about how everyone has psychic and intuitive abilities. We just need to have a little time, space, and guidance on how to tap into that. I give my best tips below when talking about Mindset. I also share about some healthy meal planning recipes that have plenty of protein. Extra protein is helpful for women as we age and for anyone who includes strength training in their workout routine (we all should).
This Week’s Shot of MINDSET
I have really been tuning in to my intuition with meditation, journaling, trusting hunches, and paying attention to synchronicities. These tools help me use my innate psychic medium abilities. Information almost always crosses my path exactly when I need it.
If you want to strengthen your intuition and psychic abilities, start with making time for meditation and journaling. Meditation can be as simple as sitting in a chair, taking a few deep breaths, and closing your eyes for a few minutes. I visualize being grounded to Earth and centered in God/Universe/Pure Love energy.
I visualize mucky gray tangled energy releasing from my Body, Mind & Spirit with this saying (I say it silently to myself):
Release that which no longer serves and let the energy flow for the highest good of all.
I learned this many years ago in my Healing Touch training and still practice it almost every day. The gray mucky energy releases and I can see the Pure Love energy shining through. It is bright white & pink when I see it.
I then tune in to my ‘Spirit Team’ as I call it. For me, my Spirit Team = God, guides, angels, Guardian Angel, Higher Self, ancestors, and Soul Family. For you, it can be whoever you would tune in to for some guidance or messages. You can ask a direct question or just tune in for some daily guidance, love, and support. I ask my Spirit Team most mornings to bring through messages, love, support, guidance, and rejuvenation.
Then just sit quietly and see what comes through for you. I often have messages ‘pop in’ while I am meditating or having some quiet time like this. The visions and messages are subtle for me, but I know they aren’t just my brain’s thoughts or imagination. I am often shown pictures, scenes, see people, or hear sentences in my mind’s eye. I have been practicing for years and now know I can trust the subtle messages.
I give gratitude for guidance and messages and go about my day. If I turned something over to God and asked for guidance, I just trust that it will come in some form in the very near future. When I slow down enough and look for the signs, they are always there.
Give some of these techniques a try and see if you can strengthen your own intuition and psychic medium abilities. It will most likely look different from my processes. With practice and trust, you can strengthen these abilities, if this is something you want to do for yourself. If not, you can always see someone like Katelyn or just trust that messages will come through for you when you need them.
This Week’s Shot of HEALTH
I was watching a healthy plant based diet YouTube video talking about increasing plant protein for women in menopause and those doing a lot of strength training workouts. They had a great, adaptable smoothie recipe that I have been making almost every day recently. I love smoothies, overnight oats, and cold breakfast recipes when the weather heats up in the summer, like it has been already in Charlotte.
The Maca Smoothie recipe which starts at exactly 5 minutes into this video is filled with fruit & veggie goodness and extra plant protein from nuts, seeds, and supplements if you have them around. Here are some adaptations I have been using:
- I used berries or cherries instead of pineapple because I love those more. Use whatever fresh or frozen fruit you like best.
- I used almond butter instead of sunflower seed butter because that’s what I had in the cupboard.
- I used whole flax seeds as they get blended up perfectly in the Vitamix anyways. I had hemp seeds and love them, so definitely added those. They make the smoothie very creamy and have lots of protein.
- I used chaga mushroom powder instead of maca because I already had that superfood type powder in the pantry. You could sub any supplement you have on hand or skip that step altogether.
- I added about a cup of water to make this a little thinner for me.
Give it a try and adapt it as you like. I do this all the time with healthy recipes to use what I have on hand. This smoothie recipe is a great way to get in lots of protein without having to use processed protein powders, it all comes from whole plant foods.
The other recipes in this meal plan are also delicious high protein healthy recipes. If you are a big planner or meal prepper, this video and this channel will hopefully give you some fresh new recipe ideas. If you are not a meal prepper, just incorporate some of the recipes one at a time for new, tasty, healthy meals sprinkled throughout your week. Enjoy!
