1. MINDSET: Find Your WHY, your reason to keep going when it gets tough and get back on track when you get a bit off plan. It will happen. It may be weight loss, reducing depression & anxiety, preventing & reversing disease, or wanting to live longer and be here for your family.
2. CHOOSE FOODS YOU LOVE: Make this a true lifestyle with food you enjoy and look forward to. Don’t make it a short term deprivation diet that you will eventually fall off and then give up on. There are healthy plant based versions of any food you can think of and I share my top resources for where to find great foods and recipes.
3. MEAL PLANNING: This is our SECRET WEAPON for long term success with healthy plant based eating. If you choose recipes you love, put together a plan with 5-7 hearty meals per week, shop & stock your house, then you have everything you need for healthy meals and leftovers for a week or more. You will be way less tempted to just pick up junk food or go out if you know you have everything you need for great food all week.
