In this week’s cooking video, I show you how to make healthy French Onion Dip. This recipe gives me that same creamy enjoyment as my childhood favorite – tubs of Dean’s French Onion Dip. My Dad loved that stuff and I developed a major craving for Ruffles & French Onion Dip. This lets me enjoy my chips & dip with a much healthier plant based oil free version. My chips still have oil :-), but its an occasional treat.
We also love this dip with baked potato wedges, as a sour cream replacement on Mexican dishes, on top of baked potatoes with veggie chili, on nachos or with baked tortilla chips, and its even great on a bagel as a healthy cream cheese replacement.

MY MODIFICATIONS:
1. I usually leave the oil out, just to make it a bit healthier, its still just as creamy.
2. I usually leave out the soy sauce as it already has plenty of salt.
3. I usually leave out the parsley as we like to use it with a lot of Mexican food as a sour cream replacement. And it keeps longer in the fridge without the parsley.
